Anurag Mundhada

Backstory

An IIT Bombay graduate, Anurag has spent the last decade building AI systems across diverse, high-complexity domains. 

He co-founded two startups—one in diagnostics (Medd), which achieved nationwide scale and was acquired by Tata 1mg, and another in fitness technology (Insane AI), where he built a motion-tracking workout platform using computer vision and deep learning, raising capital, assembling a strong technical team, and scaling to 200,000+ users before closing operations post-pandemic.

Before returning to entrepreneurship, he led deep learning and perception projects for Mercedes-Benz and Bosch, working on pedestrian and cyclist detection models used in autonomous driving and safety systems.

In his most recent role as Lead Machine Learning Engineer at Nand AI, he developed hallucination-resistant LLM pipelines for enterprises—focusing on reliability, accuracy, and production-grade AI deployment.

Anurag combines strong technical rigor with the perspective of a founder who has built, scaled, shut down, and exited ventures. His journey through frontier AI, diagnostics, mobility, and consumer-facing apps gives him a rare ability to bridge engineering complexity with business pragmatism—making him a valuable operating partner for teams building in fast-changing environments.
